Martin Scorsese

This guy needs no introduction. Martin Scorsese is an American director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and film historian, whose career spans more than 53 years. He won an academy award for best director for his movie The Departed (2006) starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson. His work includes Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Mean Streets. He specializes in the mobster/crime genre, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio are the frequently casted actors in Scorsese’s films. De Niro’s  acting career has especially flourished under Scorsese’s direction. His recent movie “Silence” starring Andrew Garfield and Liam Neeson released on November 26th 2016 and was well received by the critics and audience. Scorsese’s movies are known for his exceptional editing techniques and use of freeze frames .The use of Snorricam technique became famous after Taxi Driver (1976).
